We had an incredible Orange Shirt Day today. We spent the morning listening to stories of survivors of residential schools. They are often powerful and sad, but also so important to understanding the full story of Canada. Our students were thoughtful and asked great questions.
If you want to hear some of these stories yourself, you can visit the below link for more info.

The work our students did this week was incredible and you should be very proud of them. Below is their blackout poetry that they’ve been working on this week:

To Do for Wednesday
- Four day weekend. Have a great time spending extra time as a family over the next four days.
- On Tuesday, spend some time exploring Truth and Reconciliation events in your neighbourhood. Chat with your families about Residential Schools and continue to learn about Canada’s history.
