We had another full day of learning today.
In Language Arts, we began a new reading program called Achieve3000. Over the next 6-8 weeks, students will be reading a new article every week while deepening their reading comprehension skills. Every week, there is paragraph writing practice which will culminate in our essay writing unit in February.
In Math, students worked on a fairly large practice package of adding fractions. While some finished during class time, most have math homework due tomorrow.
In the afternoon, we continued in our ancient humans unit, learning more about where humans originated and how they spread throughout the world.
There is a lot due tomorrow, so please check-in with your children about their homework and make sure they carve out enough time to complete everything. Students who haven’t used their time well have a lot to get done by tomorrow.
Due Tomorrow
- Library Book Exchange Tomorrow Morning
- Achieve3000 Multiple Choice Questions
- Math Adding Fractions Practice (PDF attached below)
