We’re starting to feel a bit more alive in class today. Students were a bit more awake and able to handle some longer lessons. For the first few days, students were fighting sleep with everything they had, but today it felt like we were actually back to our normal selves again.
I started working on our drafts of our one word assignments and tomorrow we’ll begin our good copies. Those will be due Monday of next week.
In math, we continued adding fractions with diagrams and number lines, and students are starting to understand how adding fractions actually works. There is a small homework assignment tomorrow, and a short quiz tomorrow to check-in on their learning so far.
This afternoon, we finished yesterday’s Social Studies lesson and then had an art lesson all about colour theory. Students created their own colour wheels to use as a guide throughout our pastel and painting unit this term.
NOTE TO GRADE 6 PARENTS: Grade 6 vaccination forms went home today. Please fill them out and return them as soon as possible.
