Happy November everyone! We’ve got a full week of learning ahead of us, followed by a long weekend.
In Language Arts this week, students are putting all of their tools that they’ve been developing into a final story. It’s a scary story, rooted in a fear that they have experienced in their childhood. Some students are working on stories about being lost and not being able to find their parents. Others are writing about odd noises in the house when they’re home alone. I’m looking forward to reading them next week!
In Math, we’re moving towards the end of our Decimals unit. There’s some practice questions connected to today’s learning, which was converting challenging fractions into decimals. Students are allowed to use calculators for today’s homework.
We’ll also be focusing some of our learning on Remembrance Day this coming Friday, as we remember the lives of those affected by war in Canada, and around the world.
Due for Tuesday
- Math practices questions
- Read 30 minutes
- Volleyball game tomorrow after school
